The Martin City Police Department is reporting multiple arrests that occurred on Friday, September 14, 2018. The arrests occurred around 1pm at Family Dollar in Martin after Officer Jonathan Holbrooks was dispatched to a complaint there. Upon arrival, two female subjects were encountered and appeared to be intoxicated. The subjects, identified as 36-year-old Barbara Jean Norman, of Stopover, and 53-year-old Linda Sue Mullins, of Harold, were found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Norman was also charged with an active arrest warrant from the Johnson County Circuit Court charging her promoting contraband, along with several drug related charges. Bother individuals were arrested and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
