Traffic Stop in Knox County Leads to DUI and Drug Arrest

On Monday, September 17, 2018, around 2:45pm, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson observed a gray 2008 Dodge Charger traveling north on Highway 11 at a high rate of speed in the rain. After conducting a traffic stop, the driver was determined to be under the influence. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Jessica Curry of Walker, was charged with DUI and having no operator’s license. During the arrest, Deputy Hudson located a loaded 9mm handgun, baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, and a set of digital scales. Curry was charged with trafficking, possession of controlled substance, and carrying a concealed weapon. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
