UPIKE to host workshops with The LearnWell Projects

The University of Pikeville will welcome Leonard Geddes to campus for faculty, staff, student and community workshops on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Geddes, founder of The LearnWell Projects, travels across the country working with institutions on practical and research-based solutions to improve metacognition, an awareness of one’s thinking and learning, and student learning support programs that address academic coaching, first-year transition, student-athlete success initiatives and supplemental instruction programs. A faculty and staff workshop will be held on September 20 from 11am to noon in the Health Professions Education Building, seventh floor. Geddes will host another workshop on September 20 from 6pm to 8pm in Booth auditorium that will be open to the community, faculty, staff, and students.
