An arrest has been in a rape investigation in Scioto County. The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Monday, September 17, 2018 from another police agency, stating a 15-year-old female had been sexually assaulted in May 2018 and recently learned the incident occurred in Scioto County. Detectives responded to a residence on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 to a Piketon Road address looking for the suspect, who was not at home. The suspect later that day came to the sheriff’s office as requested, which resulted in his arrest without incident. Griffin Diaz, 18 of Lucasville, Ohio, was charged with one count of rape and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He was lodge din the Scioto County Jail.
