Big Sandy Community and Technical College Holds Annual Patriot Day Ceremonies

Big Sandy Community and Technical College honored and remembered fellow Americans with the annual Patriot Day ceremonies held on the Prestonsburg, Pikeville and Mayo campuses on September 11, 2018. Patriot Day is a national day of remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and United Flight 93 that killed 2, 977 people. The ceremonies included guest speakers Brad Patrick, 1st Lieutenant U.S. Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and Les Varney, a BSCTC faculty member and Pike County Sheriff’s Office Deputy. Additionally, the ceremonies included a moment of silence in tribute.
