Floyd County Schools are announcing a new early exploration program in college and career pathways. In partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education Career and Educational program and the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative, eighth grade students will be part of a pilot program called Floyd County Early College and Career Explorers, during the 2018-19 school year. The program will program students the opportunity to learn more about the fields of office technology, welding, electricity, carpentry, health science, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems during one grading term through participation in programs at the Floyd County Area Technology Center in Martin.
