A Franklin County grand jury indicted Wallace Taylor, 56, of Irvine, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 on one count of abuse of public trust over $10,000. Taylor, a former Estill County judge-executive, allegedly stole funds belonging to Estill County between December 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. Taylor is alleged to have taken more than $38,000 in state and federal grants that belonged to the county. On Thursday, September 20, 2018, Taylor was arrested on a $40,000 bench warrant and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
