Man Arrested in Knox County Following Burglary Investigation

On September 13, 2018, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson initiated an investigation into a burglary at a residence on Shore Line Drive in Walker. Deputy Hudson accompanied the victims to a residence on Higgins Branch Road in Gray, where they identified two new tires that had been stolen> the purchaser gave a description of the seller and the vehicle he was driving. The perpetrator was identified as 32-year-old Jeffery McVey of Trosper. On Friday, September 21, 2018, McVey was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and theft by deception. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
