The University of Pikeville theatre department will present the Tony and Olivier award-winning play “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” beginning Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 7:30pm. The production will run from September 25, 27-29, and October 2, 4, and 5, with all performance beginnings at 7:30pm at the Jenny Wiley Theatre in Pikeville. Based on the frequently challenged novel by Mark Haddon, the production was selected in celebration of Banned Books Week. The story is one of understanding and embracing circumstances as a boy with autism learns about himself and the world around him while investigating the murder of a neighbor’s dog. Tickets are $10 for the public and $5 with UPIKE ID and will be available at the door. During opening night, a discount will be issued for attendees who bring a book in good condition to be donated.
