Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville are investigating a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred on KY 1056 in the Mccarr community of Pike County. At 3:15pm Monday, September 24, 2018, KSP Post 9 received a call of the single vehicle accident. When Troopers arrived at the scene, it was determined Bernadette Adkins was traveling westbound and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle struck an embankment and overturned into the roadway. Adkins was transported to the Williamson Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
