Big Sandy Community and Technical College recently added the Orientation to Early Childhood Education for students who are interested in a career in early childhood education. Students who complete the three-hour course successfully will obtain the Kentucky Child Care Provider Certificate, which will allow them to obtain employment in a preschool or daycare center. Dr. Sherry Zylka, President and CEO of BSCTC, said the certificate can provide a solid foundation for the students and a great start on a career in education. Enrollment is still open with the first class beginning October 16, 2018. The class will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pn with some online work.
