A stabbing occurred in Kanawha County on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. The stabbing occurred around noon outside the Tobacco Shop on Sissonville Drive. Cheryl Fisher, 57, of Charleston, was stabbed in the back during a brief altercation, then drove to the Sissonville Health Center where she was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Charleston. She died of her injuries a short time later. A suspect, identified as 30-year-old Cynthia Gatewood, of Nitro, was located at Family Dollar store where she was arrested.
