Two were arrested on drug charges in Laurel County on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. The Arrests occurred off Barbourville Road around 1:50pm following an investigation into illegal drug trafficking. One subject was found in possession of Xanax, while another was found in possession of needles apparently used to inject methamphetamine. The two individuals arrested were identified as 42-year-old Kevin Dean Lawson and 37-year-old Amy Jones. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. The drug investigations are ongoing.
