A Boyd County man has been convicted on sexual abuse charges. Timothy Ray, Sr., 63, of Catlettsburg, was convicted on September 27, 2018 on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse that occurred between 2014 and 2015 to minors. This case was investigated by the Catlettsburg Police Department and is being prosecuted by Attorney General Andy Beshear’s Office of Special Prosecutions. Beshear’s office is also prosecuting a pending indictment on Ray in Boyd Circuit Court with three additional victims, containing charges of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Ray will have his final sentencing hearing in Boyd Circuit Court on November 8, 2018.
