The Bridging Kentucky program will replace or repair 1,000 bridges in the state. Of the bridges selected, 42 are in the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12. Two of the bridges in the district are already under construction: KY 40 in Johnson County near the Magoffin County line and KY 610 at Virgie in Pike County. An estimated investment of approximately $700 million will go toward repairing or replacing these critical structures based on a data-driven, priority-setting approach.
