A Danville man has been convicted of drug trafficking. Carl Wayne Bartleson, Jr., 46, was convicted on Thursday, October 11, 2018, following a three-day jury trial. Bartleson was convicted on all counts, including one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin and fentanyl, and four counts of distribution of heroin and fentanyl. Following three fatal overdoses in Boyle County on February 21, 2017, a joint investigation between the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, results in the arrest of Bartleson as a local drug supplier. Sentencing is scheduled for February 14, 2019 in Lexington. Bartleson faces up to 30 years in prison.
