October is Anti-Bullying Awareness Month and Monday, October 22, 2018 begins Safe Schools Week in Kentucky. Floyd County Schools Superintendent Danny Adkins said their team is committed to making their schools safe for all students. He added they have School Resource Officers in each attendance area and are working to address any safety concerns immediately. Superintendent Adkins is asking students, staff, parents, family members, and community members to stand with them in taking the “Be INCREDIBLE, Reveal Your SUPERhero!” pledge from the Kentucky Center for School Safety. Those who pledge are asked to make good choices, respect others, and to report when they know someone is being bullied. A link to take the pledge can be found here https://kycss.org/sswpledge/index.php
