Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville are investigating a two vehicle fatal collision that occurred after 4pm Friday, October 19, 2018 on KY 1469 in the Virgie community of Pike County. Troopers responded to the scene where it was determined 20-year-old Jordan Wright of Jonancy was operating a motorcycle eastbound on KY 1469 when the vehicle traveling in front of him made a U-turn. Mr. Wright’s motorcycle struck the vehicle in the driver’s door and he was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office. No charges have been filed at this time. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
