Around 9pm Monday, October 29, 2018, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Johnson 911 received a report from Indianapolis Air Traffic Control regarding three commercial aircraft being struck by a green laser light. The pilots reported the laser originating approximately 5 miles south of an airport near Paintsville. The laser was able to strike the aircrafts at the approximate altitude of 34, 000 feet. NO injuries were reported regarding aircraft personnel. Surrounding law enforcement agencies have been notified of the incident.
