The Hazard Police Department made an arrest in the robbery of a Cash in a Dash on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. The robbery occurred on Saturday, October 27, 2018 around 10am, when a suspect allegedly entered the business with a hunting knife, demanding money from an employee. Surveillance video indicated the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Dillon Ray Allen, of Leburn, was a passenger in a white Chevrolet Cobalt. Allen was arrested around 4pm Wednesday. The driver of the vehicle, when interviewed, admitted to driving Allen to and from the business on the morning of the robbery in Allen’s vehicle. Allen was charged with 1^st degree robbery and lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
