A Leslie County woman was shot to death early morning of Thursday November 8, 2018 and investigators are continuing you search for the man believe to be responsible. Kentucky State pOlice Post 13 received a call around 7:30am advising that a woman had been located unresponsive inside a residence on Weeping Cherry Lane in the Essie community. The woman, identified as 28-year-old Paige Murphy, appeared to have suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation determined she was involved in a domestic dispute with 32-year-old Dustin Stidham, who allegedly shot her then fled the scene in a 2002 Ford Taurus. Stidham is described as a white male, weighing 150 pounds, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and jeans.
