Louisa Police Make Traffic Stop Resulting in Drug Trafficking Arrest

On Thursday, November 8, 2018, around 12:57pm, Louisa Police Officer Hunter James conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Nissan Altima on East Sycamore Street. During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver, Prince Stevens, 26, of Louisa, had in his possession a handgun, methamphetamine, oxycodone, cash, and drug paraphernalia. Officer James was assisted at the stop by Sgt. Wilburn and K-9 Unit Kenya. Stevens was charged with trafficking in controlled substance and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
