The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education announced on Friday, November 9, 2018, the launch of a new initiative to support military students’ transition to campus. The new centralized resource is the first phase of a long-term plan recently outlined by CPE President Aaron Thompson. The first phase of the state’s effort focuses on getting soldiers quickly to the local, state and national resource information needed to make informed educational decisions. The second phase of the project will outline how each institution assess educational credits based on unique military experiences, and the third phase will allow potential students the opportunity to compare institutional resources, supports, and policies from campus to campus. The new resource can be found at cpe.ky.gov/military.
