Knox County Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search at the residence of 39-year-old Jason Hughes on Cornett Lane in Barbourville. During the search, a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was discovered, along with a sawed off 12-gauge shotgun and .22 caliber rifle. Hughes was arrested on charges of trafficking in controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodge din the Knox County Detention Center.
