Big Sandy Community and Technical College has announced a new director for their SkillsU program. On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, it was announced that Tammy Meredith-Castle would helm the program. Castle has several years of experience in the Adult Education field. She said she was impressed with how BSCTC has become involved in serving adult learners and wanted to be a part of helping to get them ready to join the workforce. Each student in SkillsU will have a schedule of courses which can include evening and distance learning courses to help them obtain their GED. Also with the new format, students will work with a Career Navigator who can help them earn short term training of complete a degree.
