Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary October 2018 unemployment rate was 4.5 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. The unemployment rate was unchanged from September 2018. The jobless rate was down 0.1 percentage points from the 4.6 percent recorded for the state in October 2017. The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for October 2018 was 3.7 percent, also unchanged from September 2018, according to the US Department of Labor.
