Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Thursday, November 15, 2018 around 6pm on KY 319. Troopers responded to the scene where it was determined a vehicle traveling southbound lost control and struck an embankment, then overturned into a ditch. The operator of the vehicle was transported by EMS to the Williamson ARH Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident. The passenger in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office, due to injuries from the accident. The name of the deceased has not been released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
