No Changes in Vote Totals Reported in Recanvassed Kentucky Counties

Kentucky’s county boards of elections involved in conducting recanvasses on Thursday, November 15, 2018, reported no changes to their respective county’s vote totals in six State Representative races and a Commonwealth’s Attorney race. The county boards’ recanvass totals were reported to Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes. A recanvass is a check of vote totals from each voting machine and absentee ballots. Recanvasses were conducted for State Representative in Districts 13, 27, 81, 88, 91, and 96, and Commonwealth’s Attorney, 37th Judicial Circuit. District 96 is Carter and Lawrence counties, with the 37th Judicial Circuit representing Carter, Elliot, and Morgan counties. The State Board of Elections will meet on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 to certify and make official the results of the General Election.
