A Leslie County woman was killed following a collision with a commercial vehicle on Kentucky Highway 15 near hazard on Monday, November 19, 2018. First responders were called to the scene around 9:30am in the Glomar community of Perry County. The initial investigation determined that Rosalyn Hannah Sizemore, age 19, of Bear Branch in Leslie County, was operating a 2016 Jeep Compass on KY 15 in the southbound lane. Sizemore signaled to the shoulder of the roadway, then attempted to turn back across the southbound lane. As the vehicle came back onto the roadway, it collided with a 2015 Kenworth tractor and trailer. Sizemore was transported to the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased by the Perry County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the truck, Randy Mullins of Pound, Virginia, was not transported for medical attention. Impairment is not suspected at this time. Sizemore was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
