Drug Arrest in Laurel County Following Reckless Driving Traffic Stop

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made a drug arrest after observing a reckless driver on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. The arrest occurred around 4:25pm on McWhorter Street after Deputy Joey Robinson conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford F150 pickup truck that was observed driving recklessly near the intersection of the Hal Rogers Parkway. Following an investigation, it was determined the driver, identified as 38-year-old Rodney Grubb, of Oneida, was under the influence and admitted to taking Suboxone. Additionally, he was found in possession of a needle and Suboxone. Grubb was charged with DUI, possession of drugs and paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
