Martin City Police made a drug arrest the morning of Thursday, November 22, 2018. The arrest occurred around 2:45am on KY 80 in Martin following a traffic stop conducted on a red 2006 Pontiac G6. Officer Brad Stidham observed the passenger of the vehicle throw something out of the window. The officer found a small baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. Officer Stidham arrested 37-year-old Grover Allen of Salyersville, charging him with possession of controlled substance. Additionally he was charged with an outstanding warrant from Floyd County District Court. Allen was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
