Man Arrested Following Attempt to Serve EPO in Knox County

On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, around 1:45am, Knox County Deputies and Kentucky State Police attempted to serve an Emergency Protection order on a man identified as 50-year-old Tommy Gray of Corbin. According to the citation written by Knox County Deputy Hunter Luttrell, Gray and his father allowed authorities into their residence on KY 6 to serve the order. Gray’s father then came outside armed with a pistol, and Gray would not show his hands when given commands. While attempting to serve the EPO inside the home, Gray became agitated, raising his voice and slamming his hands on a table before advancing towards deputies and troopers. Deputies attempted to taken Gray, and he actively resisted. He was arrested and charged with menacing, resisting arrest, and assault. Gray was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
