Kentucky State Police Investigating Two Vehicle Fatal Collision in Lewis County

On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, around 9:11am, Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead received a call for assistance from the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department with a two vehicle collision in Lewis County. According to preliminary investigation, it was determined that 54-year-old Kimberly Blevins, of Vanceburg, was traveling North on KY 9 in Lewis County in a white Cadillac when it crossed the center line and struck a white Ford Explorer driven by 64-year-old Edna Vice, of Tollesboro. Vice was transported to Meadowview Regional Hospital by a personal vehicle for non-life threatening injuries and then transferred to UK Medical Center for further treatment. Blevins suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Lewis County Coroner Tony Gaydos. The collision remains under investigation.
