On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, around 1:45pm, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 22-year-old Chad Trusty on charges related to distribution o matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Trusty was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect distributed files of child sexual exploitation online. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. Trusty was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
