Three Plead Guilty to Distributing Fentanyl Resulting in Death

Defendants, in three separate indictments, have entered guilty pleas to distributing fentanyl that resulted in a death. In one case, Kloud Logan Jones, 27, of Mt. Sterling, pleaded guilty on October 19, 2018 to distributing the drug an inmate at the Montgomery County Regional Jail. On Monday, November 26, 2018, Garry Drake, Jr, 26, of Lexington, pleaded guilty to distributing fentanyl to an individual, identified as M.R., in Fayette County, resulting in death. Phillip Jennings, 23, also of Lexington, previously entered a guilty plea to the same charge. All three defendants face a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years and a maximum life sentence.
