An arrest has been made in a shooting death investigation that occurred on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Kanawha County. The shooting occurred in the 6700 block of Jefferson, West Virginia, where a man, identified as 66-year-old James Morris, was shot in the neck. He later died at an area hospital as a result of his injuries. On Wednesday, November 28, 2018, two suspects were arrested. James Tyler Garnes was arrested in Putnam County as an accessory after the fact to murder. Additionally, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Douglas Kidd, III, who was wanted for first degree murder in the shooting death of James Morris.
