The Ashland Police Department made a drug arrest the morning of Tuesday, December 4, 2018. While serving a search warrant at a house in the 2100 block of Thomas Street, officers discovered suspected drugs, along with paraphernalia. The investigation at the home led to the arrest of 58-year-old Charles Davenport. He was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, as well as possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. Davenport was arrested without incident and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
