Four endowments grew substantially from contributions made to the University of Pikeville on Giving Tuesday on November 27, 2018, but alumni, donors, friends, faculty, and staff. Giving Tuesday efforts focused on raising scholarship money in honor of four individuals who have made a difference in the lives of students. Featured endowments included the Carold Grizzard Browning Lecture Series Endowment, the Ron D. Damron Endowed Scholarship, the Derrick “Big Show” Silas Endowed Scholarship, and the Dr. John A. Strosnider Endowed Scholarship. The average gift on Giving Tuesday at UPIKE was approximately $500, with an overall total of nearly $10,000, and gifts for endowments continuing to be received.
