Dr. Werner Grentz, 69, of London, Kentucky, was sentenced on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 to three years in federal prison, for falsely reporting his income as $0 on tax documents presented to the Internal Revenue Service for tax years 2011-2015, and for corruptly interfering with the IRS’ attempts to administer the tax laws. He was sentenced to an additional year in prison, for violations of the terms of his supervised release on a 2013 tax fraud conviction, for a total four year sentence. According to evidence presented at trial, the IRS determined the doctor owed taxes of $237,860 on unreported income of $726,148, which was ordered to pay to the IRS. Dr. Grentz owes more than a million dollars in unpaid taxes to the IRS.
