The results for the high school division of the Jenny Wiley Academic Conference have been announced. Floyd Central High School placed first overall, in quick recall, and in written assessment, followed in all three categories by Betsy Layne High School in second, and Prestonsburg High School in third. Floyd County Superintendent Danny Adkins congratulated the teams for excelling in these academic competitions. The high school teams will next compete in the Governor’s Cup competition with Future Problem Solving and English Composition on January 22, 2018, and in written assessments and quick recall on January 26, 2018. Both of these district events will be at Floyd Central High School.
