Michael Bacigalupi, O.D., M.S., FAAO, dean of the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Optometry, has been named a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice in Optometry. Recognized and elected for his dedication to the practice of optometry and achievements in the field, Bacigalupi will help influence national health policy and legislation, while promoting research and quality health care with other outstanding health care leaders across the nation. He will be inducted as a Distinguished Fellow at NAP’s annual meeting in March in Pentagon City, Virginia.
