A Richmond man was sentenced on Thursday, December 20, 2018 to 15 years in federal prison for armed drug trafficking. Dewayne Thomas Farmer, 34, admitted that on June 27, 2017, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his Richmond apartment. During the search warrant, officers seized more than 220 grams of methamphetamine, which was in close proximity to two shotguns. Farmer confirmed he traded drugs for the shotguns located in his apartment, kept the them for protection, and intended to sell the methamphetamine, which was valued at over $20,000.
