A Floyd County man was killed in a fatal crash on US 23 in Johnson County on Monday, December 24, 2018. The accident occurred in the East Point community near the intersection of Skate Road. Reports indicate 95-year-old Orville Turner was traveling southbound when he crossed the median, colliding head on with a northbound truck. The truck was carrying multiple occupants at the time of the crash, though did not suffer any serious injuries. Turner was pronounced deceased by the Johnson County Coroner’s Office.
