Excessive Speeding Stop Results in Arrest in Laurel County

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 following a traffic stop. The arrest occurred on I-75 around 10:21pm after Deputy Rick Cloyd conducted a traffic stop on a gray colored Ford Edge going 86 mile per hour in a 70 mph zone. During the stop, it was determined that the driver did not have a drivers license and was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Additionally, the subject, identified as 35-year-old Kyla Williams, was charged with a Laurel District Court bench warrant. Williams was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
