January 9, 2019 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Partnering organizations look to show law enforcement officers that citizens recognize the difficulties of the career in service to the public. Citizens can show their support by wearing blue clothing, asking children to write letters in support of law enforcement, sharing a positive law enforcement experience on social media, display a blue light in support of law enforcement, and most importantly, thank a police officer.
