On Monday, January 7, 2019, Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Greg Poynter was dispatched to a disturbance complaint off Little Pittsburg Road. Upon arrival at the scene, Sgt. Poynter determined the complaint to be unfounded and that the complainant, identified as 41-year-old April Chandler, was under the influence. Additionally, she was wanted on outstanding bench warrants. Chandler was charged with public intoxication and falsely reporting an incident. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
