The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest off East Laurel Road after making contact with an individual who appeared to be under the influence. The arrest occurred around 5:02pm Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Deputies found 40-year-old Tommy Vaughn of Sally Little Road in possession of a white crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with suspected xanax and suboxone. Vaughn told deputies that the crystal substance was meth. He was charged with possession of controlled substance and public intoxication and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
