New Jersey Fugitive Arrested in Ashland

On Thursday, January 10, 2019, members of the Ashland Police Department Criminal Investigations Section and Field Operations Division assisted the United States Marshall’s Office with locating a fugitive from Aberdeen, New Jersey. Marshalls in New Jersey were attempting to locate 27-year-old Jorge Rojas for sexual assault charges. Information obtained led authorities to believe the suspect was in the Ashland area. Officers were able to locate Rojas at 812 Bath Avenue in Ashland. The suspect was taken into custody without incident by Ashland Police and US Marshalls. Rojas was charged with being a fugitive from justice and placed in the Boyd County Detention Center.
