An arrest was made in a murder investigation in Ashland on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. On Saturday, January 19, 2019, Ashland Police were called to the 400 block of Marcia Street where there was a report of a female laying in the front yard of a residence. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found 29-year-old Ericka Spradlin deceased. Evidence at the scene indicated she had been assault and a homicide investigation began. On Wednesday, a warrant of arrest charging murder was issued for 34-year-old Jason Blevins. He was arrested and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.
