A suspect in a Kanawha County burglary has been arrested. The burglary occurred around 8am Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at a residence in the 5300 block of Dalewood Drive in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. The suspect allegedly forced entry, shot a resident in the head, and stole items before leaving. The resident was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Maurico Govea of Saint Albans was arrested on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, after turning himself in to the Saint Albans Police Department. He was lodged in the South Central Regional Jail.
